At first, I used chalk to create a reference frame to capture the fall leaves' build-up in Rittenhouse Square. Throughout this study, my focus shifted from tracing external elements to the chalk itself. The outcome drawing represents this shift and focuses solely on the chalk's life cycle on two surfaces: paving and grass.
