For this week’s action, locate, I recognize how the process of locating and mapping shapes our perception. So I was curious to see if everything could be located. For this work, I decided to use a ruler to locate grass and forbs. With this ruler, I made a transect line and measured the distance between the plants and the ruler. However, I found that it was impossible to “locate” these plants because they were tiny and overlaid on top of one another. Therefore, I used watercolor in my drawing to signify the ambiguity of the location of these plants.
