I used photos took on my site and highlighted the specific object I wanted to emphasize in these photos for my classmate to name. What struck me the most was how people from different backgrounds have various interpretations of the same drawings (especially the lantern one). This difference shows how culture, experience, and people’s understanding will have a huge impact on how we name an object.
