For this work, I picked up 50 discarded face masks outdoors, recorded how they looked and measured the distances between them. Through this process, I discovered that most of them were lying on the earth while a few of them were hung in the air. What is more, I clarified the percent of how many masks were found on soft layers, near important infrastructure, and folded when discarded. This experiment indicates that such waste is increasing the risk of Covid19 transmission.
